The experience of the Arab Youth Sustainable Development Network (AYSDN) was presented during the Arab Forum Arab Scientific in support of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change COP28.
AYSDN participated in the Arab Scientific Forum in Support of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change COP28, which was organized by the Regional Network for Social Responsibility in cooperation with the National Network of the United Nations Global Compact in the Kingdom of Morocco on Thursday 05/08/2023, via the Zoom application, where it held the title,
“Strategies to make the United Nations Conference on Climate Change a turning point to support climate efforts in Arab countries.”
Legal personalities, personalities from international organizations and institutions, and expert speakers from different Arab countries participated in the conference.
In a participation that is a distinguished addition to the forum, the experience of AYSDN in the face of climate change was presented. Mr. Nassim Al-Zinati, responsible for the Communication and Media Department in the network, discussed the definition of the network and its goals.
And its vision and the most important programs it offers, with a focus on the youth program and climate action, youth and the goals of sustainable development.
Mr. Al-Zinati focused in his speech on the qualitative participation of the network in the Climate Summit over the years, which showed the network’s excellence in participation over the previous conferences. He added that one of the most important pillars of the network’s experience is to provide opportunities for young people and enhance their presence in international conferences, seminars and forums, and this is what I worked on and contributed to through the participation of many members of the network in various international conferences.
At the end of his participation, Mr. Al-Zinati made recommendations on the need to activate educational paths that enhance understanding and understanding of all aspects of society, and the importance of empowering youth and organizations with climate diplomacy.
In a comment by the head of the network, he stressed that the participation of the network in such a summit and the presence of these experts confirms the strength of the network’s presence and influence in the Arab region, calling for more support and interaction with youth issues so that they have an important and prominent role in facing the risks of climate change and achieving the goals of sustainable development.
