The Arab Youth Network for Sustainable Development held a symposium entitled “Launching the twenty-eighth session of the Conference of the Parties.” The symposium aimed to discuss climate and change issues, highlighting radical solutions to address greenhouse gas emissions, adaptation to future climate changes, and key challenges facing the Earth and future generations.
Eight prominent climate activists participated in the symposium, sharing ideas and updates on climate. The President of the Network spoke about the role of NGOs in influencing the Summit and Arab countries’ decision-making at the Conference of the Parties. Musheer Al-Sharabi highlighted the importance of young people’s role in bringing about significant change in climate change at the Arab and global levels.
The seminar also addressed the latest technologies related to water conservation, such as water harvesting technology. The impact of climate change on youth and individuals and the importance of the Palestinian delegation’s presence at the Conference of the Parties have been discussed. Renewable energy and other topics were also discussed, and several ideas and suggestions were added and discussed by participants.
