Climate Education Program

Welcome to our Climate Education Program! At AYSDN, we believe that educating individuals, communities, and organizations is vital to reducing the impact of climate change in our society. With the clock ticking towards the 2030 deadline, we need to move swiftly to ensure that our initiatives are effective, efficient, and sustainable.

Our primary goal: Is to enhance people’s understanding of climate change and develop effective strategies to mitigate and adapt to its effects. By 2023, we aim to build a comprehensive network of environmental organizations, businesses, and individuals that support the promotion of climate education and action. We also strive to engage youth and young adults in projects that improve their understanding of the causes and effects of climate change, create innovative partnerships between public and private sectors, and develop educational materials for schools and local institutions.

To achieve these objectives, we have designed several strategies:

Firstly, we will establish partnerships and collaborations with other organizations and educational institutions to add a vast array of resources and understanding of climate change to our network.

Secondly, we will design an online platform with resources and online courses targeted to the different sectors we serve, such as youth, businesses, local NGOs, and governments.

Thirdly, we will coordinate widely-recognized recognition of climate-related projects and initiatives. Fourthly, we will develop teaching materials and programs focused on environmental stewardship, actions to reduce carbon emissions and adaptation strategies.

Lastly, we will run short-term campaigns to raise awareness of climate change issues at a local level.

The impacts and outcomes of these strategies will be increased awareness of climate change and its effects, more people taking part in climate action and engaging in environmental stewardship, increased economic opportunities in cleaner energy, transportation, and food sectors, and stronger networks of individuals, organizations, businesses, and public and private sector that help in promoting climate action. We will also create a long-term sustainable climate education program.

To achieve these goals, we have proposed two activities:

Firstly, we will run online and in-person training courses for stakeholders on climate change and climate education.
Secondly, we will establish an engaging digital media campaign to raise awareness of climate change and increase public participation.
