Ala Mustafa is the Global Ambassador for the West Asia Region at Youth4Nature, a youth-led, international non-profit organization, that educates, empowers, and mobilizes young people to lead on solutions for the ecological and climate crises. Also, he works as the Environment & Climate Change Program Coordinator at the International Youth Council – Yemen. His work at IYCY has been a privilege to influence more young people in Yemen to protect the environment and empower them in SDGs.

Ala was chosen as the Earth Day Ambassador in Yemen, which was a challenge for him to advocate for the environmental issues in a country that gives little attention to these issues because of the ongoing conflict. Ala is also advocating for peace in his country as he is part of the Youth Platform for Peacebuilding in Yemen.

Ala holds a BBA in Oil and Gas Management from the International University of Technology Twintech. Ala always had a great interest in environmental issues at the local and international levels. He has a broad research interest in sustainable development related topics such as climate change, peace-building, economic development, and education.

Also, he has demonstrated great interest in climate action since his college life as he co-founded “Color Me” a green startup on mitigating clothes pollution as part of the INJAZ Al-Arab Young Entrepreneurs Competition and won the prize of Company with Best Social Impact in Yemen and the Arab Region for 2019 & 2020.
