Each year, 1st May is recognized as International labor day

All governments, NGOs, INGOs, agencies, companies, and industries across the world celebrate the efforts of the workers in building the nation’s economy. Additionally, this celebration aims to promote the welfare of workers.

The International Labor Day marks the end of exploitation, prolonged working hours, maltreatment towards the laborers across the continents. It gives the chance to workers to raise their voice against the unfair and unjust treatment toward laborers.

On this occasion, Arab Youth for Sustainable Development Network (AYSDN) calls on the United Nations, civil society organizations and governments across the globe to unite efforts against any threat to workers, prohibit exploitation of the workers. And take the safety and security of workers into consideration especially during the current COVID-19 outbreak .
