In view of the accelerated shifts towards digitization and the important role of youth in building a sustainable future, the Arab Youth Sustainable Development Network (AYSDN) organized a webinar entitled “Digital Pathways for Youth and their Role in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals”. The webinar brought together a selection of speakers and experts from various Arab countries, who shared their insights and experiences on how to invest young people’s potential in achieving sustainable development goals through the tools and techniques of the digital age.
The discussion addressed several themes, including the importance of empowering young people with modern digital skills, to enable them to participate effectively in decision-making and to achieve positive change in their communities. Digital innovations have been intelligently linked to environmental issues, focusing on the role of digital transformation in addressing climate change and enhancing societies’ resilience in today’s environmental challenges. Speakers also presented inspiring experiences of pioneering youth initiatives, which successfully leveraged technology to achieve a positive and sustainable impact at the local and regional levels.
This webinar comes as an important stop to highlight young Arabs’ commitment to their environmental and development future, emphasizing the importance of expanding youth participation in environmental initiatives and climate policies through digital tools.
