Over 60 Participants Attend Webinar on Environmental Awareness and Carbon Footprint Calculation
The Arab Youth Sustainable Development Network (AYSDN) successfully organized a training webinar titled “Environmental Awareness and Online Carbon Footprint Calculation”, attracting more than 60 participants interested in environmental sustainability and green transformation. The event was held as part of the network’s ongoing efforts to enhance environmental awareness and empower youth with practical sustainability knowledge.
The webinar was delivered by Eng. Omar Al-Hafez, who introduced participants to the concept of the carbon footprint and its importance in measuring the environmental impact of everyday activities. He also demonstrated how digital measurement tools and artificial intelligence can be utilized to accurately calculate and analyze carbon emissions.

The training covered several key topics, including climate awareness and consumption patterns, the fundamentals of carbon footprint assessment, methods for converting consumption data into CO₂ emissions, and a practical case study supported by an interactive brainstorming session. The program concluded with actionable recommendations and participants’ commitments to adopting more sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.
The webinar witnessed strong engagement from attendees through interactive discussions and insightful questions, reflecting the growing interest in climate action and the role of technology in advancing sustainable solutions.
