Through this accreditation, AYSDN will be eligible to participate as an observer in public meetings and sessions of UNEA and its subsidiary bodies, engage with international stakeholders, contribute perspectives from Arab youth, and strengthen collaboration with governments, United Nations agencies, civil society organizations, academia, and the private sector on environmental and sustainability issues.
Commenting on the achievement, AYSDN leadership stated:
“This accreditation reflects the growing recognition of the role that Arab youth play in advancing sustainable development and environmental stewardship. It provides a valuable platform for our Network to amplify youth voices, contribute to global environmental dialogue, and build strategic partnerships that support sustainable and inclusive development across the Arab region.”
Since its establishment, AYSDN has worked to empower young leaders, foster regional cooperation, and promote innovative solutions addressing sustainability challenges, climate resilience, environmental protection, social inclusion, and youth participation in policymaking.
