The Arab Youth Sustainable Development Network (AYSDN) contributed to the regional conference, “Building a Shared Vision for Sustainable Rangelands and Thriving Pastoral Communities in the Near East and North Africa Region,” which is part of the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP) 2026.
The regional conference, which gathered policymakers, experts, and representatives of regional and international organizations, was conducted in Hammamet City, Tunisia, on January 26, 2026, and focused on the major challenges facing rangelands and pastoral communities, as well as sustainable solutions to address these challenges to support the environment.
The Arab Youth Sustainable Development Network’s participation in the regional conference reflects the network’s commitment to the values of sustainable development and the empowerment of Arab youth to contribute to the formulation of a shared vision to support pastoral communities in the Near East and North Africa region.
The network underscored the significance of the involvement of young people in international conferences to support the formulation of inclusive approaches to address climate change, sustainable management of rangelands, and the environment, in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
